Membership – How to become a member

MEMBERSHIP FOR 2020-2021 is open for EVERYONE! (but don’t wait too long – we end the membership drive when we fill up or on 5/15, whichever comes first)

We hope everyone is well and healthy in these difficult times. We’ve opened up membership renewal, and are accepting NEW applications until May 15th or until we reach capacity.

Members are required to complete 3 events to be eligible for renewal. However, we understand this may have been challenging this year due to Covid-19 cancellations. If you had difficulty, note that on the application. BUT KEEP CHECKING THE WEBSITE FOR NEW EVENTS!! We are adding them as needed and all are adhering to “social distancing” rules.

Note:  NEW rule as of 2020-2021 SASO year, 2 of your 3 required events must be completed by February 2021

To renew, fill out the registration form here and mail it in before April 30th along with the dues ($25) to be guaranteed a spot for the 2020-2021 year. Be sure to sign the waiver and include that along with the registration form and check. Note: You must have finished all 3 events by the time you renew (see note above). If you are signed up for an event that occurs prior to May 31st, that will count towards your 3 events for THIS year (2019-2020).

About SASO
SASO boys, Fairfield Chapter is an inclusive mother/son philanthropic and leadership organization for high school boys who either live in the town of Fairfield or attend high school in the town of Fairfield.

 SASO Requirements

  • Boys and moms must participate together in at least three (3) Philanthropic Events.  We are event based, not hours based, therefore we keep track of the number of events per year not hours.
  • Members are required to stay for the entire event or your agreed upon shift, so your choice should be based on your availability for the time slot.
  • Members who have not completed 3 mother/son philanthropic events at the end of the SASO year (May 31) will not be eligible to renew their membership.
