Wakeman Boys & Girls Club Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse – Tutoring for After School Members

Many young Wakeman Boys & Girls Club Smilow-Burroughs Club members are in need of regular tutoring during the after school hours.  The children are typically at the Club from 3pm until 7pm Monday through Friday.  If you have interest and are able to commit one hour/week for 8 to 12 weeks during the school year, please contact Laura Magnotta at 203-908-3378 or by email laura@wakemanclub.org to set up a mutually agreed upon time.

Wakeman Boys & Girls Club Outreach at McKinley and Holland Hill – Mentoring for Elementary School Students

Volunteer alongside other teens. Help kids. Have fun. Experience a life changing adventure as a mentor to a McKinley or Holland Hill student. Commitment is 1 to 2 hours weekly, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 2:45-4:45. Minimum 1 season (fall, winter, spring).

an application from McKinley School or Southport Clubhouse. Return form by email in person.

  1. RSVP to Outreach@wakemanclub.org to attend a 90 minute interview/orientation session.
